Description
The Purple mystery snail carries a deep plum-purple shell, one of the less common colour forms and a favourite among collectors. As with all mystery snails, they are peaceful, easy to keep and excellent at controlling soft algae.
Mystery snails grow to around 5cm and are safe with community fish, shrimp and most plants. They need a well-cycled tank of 20 litres or more with a tight-fitting lid, stable water parameters and access to calcium (cuttlebone or mineral supplement) for healthy shell growth.
All our snails are quarantined and health-checked before sale.
